We have a fully appointed kitchen complete with fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. There are also shops nearby where lunch can be purchased. We find that arrangements between parents and students regarding the purchasing of lunches are a good idea. We will be guided by what decisions are made at home. YourDNA Creative Arts promotes healthy eating and request that soft drink is not consumed at our site.
Our site is located at 38 Charter Street Ringwood. We are a 10-minute walk from the Ringwood Train station and Eastland Shopping Centre. YourDNA Creative Arts can provide transport to and from our service. The cost of this service is absorbed through the students mobility allowance. Please contact us should you require assistance with transportation to and from our site.
The cost of each program at YourDNA Creative Arts is 1 day allocation of the students Futures for Young Adults (FFYA) or Individual Supported Package (ISP). This is the money that students receive from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). We charge a daily rate for participation in our programs. The daily rate is calculated according to the students Student Needs Assessment (SNA) level.
YourDNA Creative Arts sends you an invoice for the classes at the beginning of each month. You will need to approve the invoice by signing it and forwarding it (via email or post) onto Moira Financial Intermediary (FI).
Moira FI then transfer the funds from your ISP to us to pay for the programs. You should have received a “Moira FI Information Pack” during your final year of school.
If you want a Moira FI information pack you can request one from Moira F.I using this link: http://moirafi.org.au/service-user-kits/
You can download the Individual Support Package (ISP) handbook using the following link: http://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/about-the-department/documents-and-resources/policies,-guidelines-and-legislation/individual-support-package-handbook
Many parents, primary carers and students are taking control of their own funding packages. In this case YourDNA Creative Arts invoices the students directly at a frequency agreed upon by both parties.
Students who do not have a FFYA or ISP are welcome to join our programs. In this instance YourDNA Creative Arts charges a “fee for service arrangement”. This means that the cost of our programs is charged directly to the person who covers the costs rather than the government.
Program Resource & Additional Fees
The resource fee for each program is $75 per term. These resource fees go towards materials, equipment, software licensing, props, costumes etc. The program resource fee is invoiced at the beginning of each term and is not covered by Moira FI.
Another additional program fee is a one off “Zoos Victoria Membership” fee of $75 for students participating in the Animal Lovers program and a $12 per month session fee to attend the Genesis fitness centre as part of the Healthy Me program. Please note these are subject to change.

What do you need to bring to our programs?
It is important for all students to wear comfortable clothing to all of our programs as we tend to move around a lot. A water bottle is also a good idea. Other specific items that are used as inspiration for storytelling within our programs such as books, videos, costumes, props, may be requested throughout the year. We will communicate these requests and ask for permission well in advance.
Thinking of changing from one service to another?
Most of the students attending Your DNA Creative Arts participate in our programs in combination with other services. In the event that a student would like to increase the amount of days they would like to attend Your DNA Creative Arts, they must notify the service they are leaving in writing, ensuring they list the date that they wish to cease service. It can take up to 8 weeks from the date of notifying your previous service provider for the funds to be made available to Your DNA Creative Arts. Students cannot begin programs at Your DNA Creative Arts until funding has been approved by their previous service provider and DHHS.
